Loki, keeper of promises,
I owe you my honesty,
Father of the forces of nature,
I owe you my protection,
Provider of unconditional support,
I owe you my patronage.
God of the wrongfully accused, judged and outcast,
Through you we find family amongst friends,
Hail to you Lodur, we were created in your image and I see you in myself,
You are father to us all.
When I need a change, Loptr, you are the luck of opportunity.
The sense of hope when all is seeming lost, the cosy glow of a fire during the chilly winter months, the sound of quiet after a long hectic day, the rhythm of a drum when I feel like dancing.
Loki, teach me your skill in the art of making change, of stepping across boundaries and understanding the significance of borders, gift me your wisdom and guile to know when to cross them, and the strength and humility when to respect them.
Hail to you, wolf's father, for it is through your cunning that I recognise the wisdom of adaptation. May you lead me through life's changing seasons and give me the strength to change gracefully.
Hail to you, Loki, father of forces. Hear my request that I may push limits with honour, respect, and understanding, and welcome change with open arms.
You are the flame that is passed to us and burns in us all, and through that fire I am inspired.
